Rally for Autism is a
CARA Certified RaceCARA Chicago Area Runners Association

The Rally for Autism event is hosted by the Northeast Illinois Chapter of the Autism Society of America (ASA). ASA and its chapters are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

About This Event


Proceeds from the Seventh Annual Rally For Autism will fund autism reasearch, provide direct support to families affected by Autism, assist other non-profit organizations which serve the Autism community and raise awareness of Autism.

Awards


Bally Total Fitness has donated 2 month memberships for the Top Male and Female Overall and Masters winners. Runners Edge Gift Certificates for the Top Male and Female Overall and Masters winners. Awards for Top 3 finishers in each age division: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and up! Additional awards for top Individual and Team pledge collectors.


Activities


The Bally team will lead pre-race warm-ups! There will be fun for the kids too! Plan to stay the day and enjoy all the recreational activities of beautiful Independence Grove. Pre-Post Race strecthing by Fitness Together. Autism Resource Tent. Fun Fair by FUN Services Inc.


CARA Certified Race


Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding, motivating, supporting and celebrating the running community of Chicagoland. CARA connects runners to resources that enable them to run - further, faster, better, for life. www.cararuns.org


Course


As in previous years, the course follows the scenic Overlook and Lakeside Trails, crossing three bridges and winding around a beautiful lake. The race route is entirely asphalt paved, with gentle hills and curves. There will be multiple water stations and mile-split times. NO bicycles, skates, roller blades, or pets permitted in 5K Run. Strollers are permitted at rear of start line. Course is USATF certified - certification number IL-07067-JW.


Volunteers Needed!


We are in need of volunteers for race day and to help organize the event. Come and join our successful team! The Rally For Autism is a great opportunity for community groups to help a most worthy cause!


Race Results


RACE time will be distributing individual finish result cards for all participants. Complete results will be posted at www.chicagoaa.com and www.cararuns.org. Race will be chip timed by Lakeshore Athletic Services.
